Yesterday, we looked at where the Lord has brought us in 2017 as we partnered with Him in fulfilling the mission of TGP. As yesterday’s message was the first in our vision series for 2018, it will be good to reflect on some of the points brought up. Below is a series of brief discussions in a few of the areas we have progressed and grown in.
Worship Team Grew
One of the wonderful things in 2017 was the expansion of our worship team. For a few years Michael and Kacie were the main worship leaders for the church. Occasionally they would have Twila substitute for them so they could take a break. Now Fyne and Dusty have decided to join the worship team, thus splitting the load between the five of them. It may seem like a small addition. However, Fyne and Dusty joining the worship team means a 60% increase in worship team members. That is a significant increase as well as a much welcomed reprieve for Michael and Kacie. This is definitely worth celebrating!
Ministry Team Advances
In 2017 the Ministry Team has been quite active. In addition to the Sunday morning post-service prayer, they embarked on a few trainings and had their fourth Prophetic Gathering.
For the trainings, our ministry team is more prepared to engage in the ministries of prophecy, impartation, and words of knowledge.
The fourth Prophetic Gathering ministered to 49 people and received words of encouragement and life from the Holy Spirit through our ministers.
This is a testament to our Lord’s desire to continue speaking to His children in life and truth.
Developed Online Presence:
In addition to in-person ministerial advances, we also shored up our virtual presence. Since the beginning of 2017 we have a more fully developed and consistent Pastor Blog; our weekly sermons are in podcast, we have an organized email list, and our Facebook presence has gotten better. TGP is now accessible in many ways around the world. The potential for people to ministered to by our work is no longer bound to the geography of Lake County. Though we are in no ways hoping to neglect the core of the Gospel, which is personal relationships with God and His church.
We Have A Building
As of the Fall of 2017, we were given a 3000 Sq. Ft. Building w/ 2 acres of land in Libertyville. This is the largest act of material provision the Lord has ever supplied to TGP. This was one of the main prayer points and goals for the 2017-2018 timeframe. It was a stretch to seek the Lord for a building. We were looking at how we’d be able to afford rent in a 2500 sq ft space, how we’d manage parking, where the location would be, and more. Then came this building. It was gifted to us by Word of Faith church because they wanted to dissolve. It was their heart that this property would be continually devoted to the work of the Kingdom. Since we were closely aligned in purpose and theology, they were glad to hand it over so we could continue advancing the Kingdom.
We have a lot to be thankful for as well as a lot to be proud of. We partnered with the Lord in 2017 and these are the results of co-laboring with Christ. With 2017 being a milestone for TGP, we will be turning our attention to building on that milestone with further advances for the Kingdom of God. Join us for the next three Sundays as we delve into the TGP vision in 2018.
Going forward, would you prayerfully consider what the Lord may be asking you to help fulfill our mission of:
